| I've got the oddest problem with MUSH. It seems that any time I try to open the World Options dialog, MUSH crashes, with no descriptive errors. I can play just fine, I can use aliases and triggers work. Everything is functioning perfectly, except that opening this dialog box causes MUSH to crash.
I made no changes to the world file, nor changes to MUSH. I'm going to try a reinstall, but I'm posting this while I remember all the details. | | Top |

| Alright, I've got some crash info. It looks promising, but it's all gibberish to me.

| I am assuming something about this world is causing it.
I notice you seem to be using the StatusBar.exe program, which may be somehow affecting it. Try making a brand new world - that is open MUSHclient without opening your normal world, then do a Connection -> Quick Connect to connect to your favourite MUD. Then see if Alt+Enter crashes it.
Also try downloading the latest announced version and see if the problem goes away:

| Alright. I downloaded the 4.33 installer. it crashes after the "Choose your Install Type" page. Consistently. The md5 sum is fine. It just crashes without fail.
1) Reinstall MUSH: Can't reinstall, installer crashes.
2) It's not the specific world. I've opened up every world I have saved, and it consistently crashes when I try to open the options dialog.
I have the crash info from the installer crash saved to a text file. It's a LOT, though, and I don't want to break the page any worse than I already have.

| I am a bit puzzled about this. I have been using the installer for 4.33 without any problems.
There have been 130 downloads of the 4.33 version, mainly by dedicated MUSHclient users as it isn't yet on the main download page, I am sure they would say if it didn't work.

I actually asked you to make a new world, not open an existing one. Do you have any default plugins in the global options? I suspect that something is being loaded that is making it crash.
What operating system are you using?

| I did do the Quick Connect option as you asked. MUSH still crashed. I only mentioned that I tried all my world files to illustrate that it isn't any specific one. As for the installer crashing, that baffles the hell out of me. It's never happened to me with anything.
Edit: Negative, no global plugins at all.
Edit 2: Okay...MUSH works as normal again. My screensaver froze my computer overnight, and I rebooted when I woke up. MUSH is working again. Too weird. I guess this is case-closed for now. | | Top |
