So here is the issue:

I forgot to copy/backup my Worlds folder before I upgraded the client. but when I upgraded (from 4.73->4.82), to I went to check both the notes & world folders (because some were locked previously).

And I am suddenly 'missing' worlds & notes. Now some of them do show up (about 4 of them), the rest do not. They do seem to be in the folder though, I can actively access them through the client, the notes are there too.

But when I go to Windows explorer its noticably lacking many of the world s which I can access.

I downgraded back to 4.73 of MUSHclient but my window's explorer is still the same.

Also currently using Windows 7.

I even tried an experiment. I moved them to another folder, still 'not visual in windows Explorer'.

Any suggestions?

Windows does some weird things nowadays, like put things that are in a "not supported" folder into a totally different part of your disk.

Try a search, given the world file name. See if you can find it.

Upgrading MUSHclient, per se, should not alter at all your existing world files.

Try opening one of the files you can access through the client (but not visible) and get its properties, see if you can work out where it really is.

It says it in the 'MUSH client worlds folder ( that's the funky part, and for some reason it's created 'a third) 'locked' folder).

that's simply called MUSHclient-- but its another one that doesn't appear in folder for Windows Explorer but when I open MUsh client it does..its weird.

if you're still missing them and haven't removed the folder the worldfiles are in.

Load the world up and then try saving the worlds with SaveAs and put the new save into your documents to see if you can find it. IF you can then save your other ones like that, making a copy then put a fresh installation in and move the folder to the desktop or non program folder of choice then put the new saves in the world folder.

Barring that, copy down your information and rebuild each world in your documents by new world, saveas, ??? Profit

Pretty much what I did in Win8
